How can you begin welcoming the unwelcome today? You must be willing to open the door and experience negative emotion. It will help you process them and move on. It will also help you to own your own emotions and not have them own you. You’ll also learn that by honoring your emotions, you can learn from them. Those emotions are there to teach you something. What are your emotions trying to telling you? Research suggests that when you turn towards our physical pain, that you are less likely to be trapped in cycles of chronic pain. And when you turn toward our sadness, you are less likely to be stuck in depression. When you turn toward our anxiety, you are less likely to be paralyzed by it, and you can actually find it easier to bear.
Welcome all emotion into your life.
